How to Install SastraWP Theme #

Since WordPress is such a flexible content management system, you can imagine that web developers can conclude the WordPress theme installation in a few different ways.

That includes through the WordPress admin theme directory, uploading from the WordPress admin dashboard, and using FTP (File Transfer Protocol).

Follow these steps below to install SastraWP Theme:

Method 1: Using WordPress Dashboard #

Navigate to the admin dashboard. It is typically accessed by adding “/wp-admin” to your website’s URL (e.g., www.yourwebsite.com/wp-admin).

Go to Appearance → Themes, and click on this Add New Theme button.

Then in the search box, put out this keyword ‘SastraWP’ or upload the theme file directly from your device.

If you hover over the theme, you will see a floating option install appear beside the theme name. Now, click on the ‘Install’ button.

Activate your SastraWP theme.

Hooray! SastraWP is now installed and running on your website! Now you can start customizing the Prebuilt Websites of your newly installed SastraWP theme.

Method 2: Manually Install via FTP #

Sometimes you might not able to install the SastraWP theme via the WordPress dashboard. In such a case, try installing the theme via FTP.

Below are the detailed steps –

Step 1 – Download SastraWP theme’s zip from here
Step 2 – Unzip the SastraWP theme zip file
Step 3 – Open your WordPress site via FTP. You can use software such as Filezilla for this.
Step 4 – From FTP, visit the root of the WordPress install
Step 5 – Now visit wp-content → themes folder
Step 6 – Upload SastraWP unzipped file from step 2. Make sure the folder name is unchanged, so it’s called ‘sastrawp’.

Step 7 – Now the SastraWP is installed on your site. Go to WordPress Dashboard and activate it from Appearance → Themes.
